Misawa AB Exchange is located 400 miles North of Tokyo, Japan at the "Tip of the Spear". We serve a diverse customer base made up of Air Force, Navy, Army and Marine personnel. The 35th Fighter Wing is the host unit at Misawa AFB –the northernmost U.S. air base in Japan. The only joint service installation in the Western Pacific. The surrounding area of Japan is just amazing! We are less than 10 minutes from the Pacific Ocean and less than 2 hours from the Hakkoda Mountain Range (which has one of the most gorgeous drives to scenic Lake Towada) and Mustsu Bay! The Misawa Exchange offers the Misawa Community a wide variety of retail and food choices, as well as, numerous services that make living in Japan more like living in the good ole' USA! The Misawa Main BX is co-located in building 325 with the Commissary and a variety of concession activities to include: An Internet Shop, Beauty Shop, Barber Shop, Flower Shop, Korean Furniture and Gifts, Japanese Gifts and China, a One Hour Photo Shop, Custom Gift and Award Shop, and an Optical Shop. Our New Car Sales Offices and Car Rental are located outside the BX on the South end of the complex. New Car Sales offer affordable pricing on "new" American made vehicles and Harley Davidson Motorcycles, while the car rental offers sedans and trucks at competitive rates here in Northern Japan. The Main Store carries a full line for a small family sized BX and also a Four Seasons/Toyland seasonally. The Power Zone meets all your electronic, audio and photo needs within our modern BX for additional one-stop shopping convenience. The mall also offers a large Bookmark and Video Rental store with DVD's and VHS latest releases available, as well as, TV, VCR and DVD equipment rentals. We offer a wide variety of merchandise from around the world in the mall that changes weekly with our short-term concessions. We have a rather large Furniture Mart located in building 429 with the AF Military Clothing Sales Store (MCSS). We offer a full range of furnishings, lamps and carpets, as well as, baby linens and furniture accessories. The MCSS offers a full line in Air Force uniforms and accessories, as well as, a very broad line of Navy items. We do have a few Army and Marine Corp items on hand and catalogs to order from, if we do not have what you are looking for in our store. Other concessions, not located in the mall include: AAFES Roving Concessionaires which includes Korean Furniture, Souvenir and Gifs, Carpets from Turkey, Japanese gifts and Souvenirs in Bldg 326; the Alterations Shop located adjacent to the Clothing Sales Store in Bldg 429; the Laundry Dry Cleaners in Bldg 1017 by the Bake n' Take. In addition to the Bake-n-Take in Bldg 1044, we have a Security Hill American Eatery in Bldg 1500 inside the Misawa Cryptological Operations Center, and a large Food Court sporting Pizza Hut, Subway, A&W Root beer, Charley's Steakery, Baskin Robbins, Taco Bell Express and Cinnabon/Seattle’s Best Coffee located in the Main BX Complex, Bldg 325. There is also a Seattle’s Best Coffee located inside the Base Hospital. We are proud to boast the newest and latest additions of AAFES activities within one building (#525) the Main Base Shoppette, Popeyes and Laundry Dry Cleaning for one stop shopping! Drop your laundry or dry cleaning off and step inside the Shoppette to pick up a 12 pack of coke while planning for dinner, get a family order of chicken from Popeyes. If you prefer something else, walk over a few feet to the Burger King which is very convenient and near the base dorms. If you happen to live in the North Area on Misawa AFB, we have you covered with a Mini Mall Complex that comprises of a Shoppette, Gas Station, Game Room, Barber Shop, Laundry/Dry Cleaners Drop Off, Alterations, Game Room and a small Food Court with Anthony’s Pizza, Robin Hood and Baskin Robbins. We also deliver Anthony’s pizza and Pizza Hut anywhere on base! As you can see your local exchange offers all those things you need to make your home away from home comfortable, entertaining and filled with all those things you are used to having available to you, when stationed in the stateside bases.
