Ramstein

The most significant AAFES project currently being developed is the new Kaiserslautern Military Community Center (KMCC). The Rhein Main mission move to Ramstein provides a unique opportunity for AAFES to play a major role in the enhancement of the overall quality of life for our patrons within the KMC. In order for Ramstein to become the new "Gateway to Europe," expanded base operating support elements are required to meet increased mission requirements. The KMC "mall concept" allows consolidation of ten existing AAFES retail facilities under one roof and expands AAFES’ capacity to provide expanded offerings in all our business categories. The one roof concept creates a one-stop shopping experience, which is very appealing to our customers. The KMC Center will include approximately 516,000 square feet of consolidated AAFES floor space, consisting of the mall common area, the Main Exchange, Outdoor Living, Theaters and Amusement Activities, Toyland/Four Seasons, Power Zone, BookMark, a Food Court, various Services activities, concession/vendor operations, banks and family entertainment venues. While we aggressively work to achieve this ultimate position, the Ramstein Exchange will continue to focus our efforts on improving the overall quality of services offered to the KMC. Stay tuned for future updates on project developments.
