The Exchange is committed to developing associates for future management and leadership positions. Associates and applicants can take advantage of this opportunity through one of our Management Trainee Programs. If you’re interested, you must apply for each trainee class as positions are posted. Applicants must meet the qualification requirements listed on each trainee position’s job description.
+ Marketing
Time: |
Approximately 6 months |
Purpose: |
Designed to introduce the trainee to key areas within the Exchange Marketing directorate. This position allows the MK Trainee to demonstrate leadership and knowledge through assigned MK projects and presentations relating to strategic corporate communication, advertising and direct marketing. This program allows the MK Trainee a high level of visibility and upper level management and a good basis to start a management career within marketing. |

+ Financial and Accounting
Time: |
Approximately 15 weeks |
Purpose: |
Designed to introduce the associate to various areas of Exchange finance and accounting. The Financial Manager Trainee position allows the associate to demonstrate leadership and knowledge through several projects and presentations. This program allows associates a high level of visibility and upper level management and a good basis upon which to start a management career within Finance and Accounting. |

+ Information Technology
Time: |
Approximately 19 weeks |
Purpose: |
Designed to introduce the trainee to various areas of the Exchange Information Technology (IT) directorate and apply technical, analytical business and problem solving skills. Trainees will complete assigned tasks and systems/software development life cycle documentation. Must demonstrate leadership and knowledge through projects and presentations, work under the guidance of designated Information Technology associates, interface with IT management, study white papers for Information Technology standards and supported systems, attend orientation briefings and meetings for Information Technology branch and complete project status reports and timesheet updates. |

+ Retail
Time: |
Approximately 18 weeks |
Purpose: |
Designed to introduce the trainee to various areas of the retail management field. This position allows the trainee to demonstrate leadership and knowledge through several projects and presentations. The Retail Manager Trainee program allows associates a high level of visibility and a good basis upon which to start a management career with the Exchange. The course curriculum will consist of customer service, stockroom management, inventory replenishment management, financial management and sales area management. |

+ Logistics
Time: |
Approximately 19 weeks |
Purpose: |
Trainees receive comprehensive training in inventory management, receiving, shipping and storage, and cycle inventory, warehouse management systems programs, computer operations, transportation, accounting and customer service. |
Location: |
Corporate headquarters or one of the Distribution Centers (DCs) (Waco, Atlanta, Dan Daniels or West Coast) or a combination. |
Successful Completion: |
Permanent assignments are given at various Exchange locations. |
+ Human Resources
Time: |
Approximately 6 months |
Purpose: |
Designed to train the associate in the functional areas of Human Resource Management. The associate will demonstrate their ability to handle Human Resources responsibilities at a medium-sized exchange. |
Location: |
Corporate headquarters and designated field exchanges. |
Successful Completion: |
Permanent assignments are given within the Exchange headquarters Human Resources directorate and various Exchange locations. |
+ Audit
Time: |
Approximately 6 months |
Purpose: |
Designed to introduce the trainee to various areas in the Exchange Audit directorate. The associate will demonstrate their ability to apply analytical business skills to accomplish a myriad of projects and assignments. |

+ Buying
Time: |
Approximately 6 months |
Purpose: |
Designed to assist the Buyer in all merchandising functions including assortment planning/execution, advertising coordination, financial planning/execution and merchandise allocation/replenishment. The Buyer Trainee reviews and evaluates our organizations, operations, functions, policies and procedures independently or within a team. Buyer Trainees provide administrative support to the Buyer, including but not limited to vendor solicitations, Retek updates, price changes and maintenance of open-to-buy and running reports. |

+ Restaurants
Time: |
Approximately 8 weeks |
Purpose: |
Designed to train associates in two phases of Burger King Management. Training is conducted on management operation skills, troubleshooting skills across stations, platforms and systems; shift preparation, equipment maintenance; opening, closing and mid-shift operations. |
Location: |
Fort Campbell, KY and Fort Bragg, NC (subject to change). |
