AAFES offers a quality health care program to meet your needs.  There are two types of medical plans, the plan you receive depends on the area where you live.  Most locations will have the Open Choice PPO plan (network); while rural locations and overseas locations have the Traditional Choice plan.  Health Maintenance Organizations (HMOs) are also available at various locations throughout CONUS. 

AAFES pays 70 percent toward the cost of the premium.
