covers approximately 64,500 acres of southeast Alabama countryside in an
area known as the Wiregrass.
With the consolidation of all Army Aviation flight training at Fort Rucker in 1973, the post became the Mecca for Army Aviators, Ft. Rucker developed the Aviation Force for its world wide mission. This includes developing concepts, doctrine, organization, training, leader development and soldier requirements. To carry out our mission, we support resident and non resident aviation maintenance, logistics and leadership training in support of total Force and Foreign nations for the support of joint and combined aviation operations. Your Main Exchange has just about all your needs. We have a complete selection of merchandise from health and beauty items, clothing for the whole family, hardware items, jewelry, small appliances, stereo and computer department and lots of knickknacks.... Our Four Seasons side of the house has been expanded to incorporate a Home & Garden Center. Selections of large appliances, furniture, riding lawnmowers and garden supplies are all available for all your shopping needs. Also, in the PX Mall, we have various concessions, GNC, Barber and Beauty Shops, Flower, Cellular Phone Service, Enterprise Car Rental, Optical and Watch shops, and The Armed Forces Bank. When you walk through the mall there are always exciting new crafts to purchase from our commodities. Food facilities: We serve breakfast, lunch and dinner also in the PX Mall with Anthony's Pizza, Robin Hood, and Charlie's Grill Subs, breakfast and lunch. If you are in the mood for a burger - we have Burger King just across the street from the PX and a Burger King Express in the Auto Pride, building 6600. Theater: This is a site to be seen....With the help and support from post we were able to renovate the whole theater which includes, new seats (782), carpeting, curtains, stage flooring, marquees, new restrooms, and Dolby surround system. Car Care Center, building 6600 offers our customers, MCSS, Class Six, Auto Pride, with 6 bays, gasoline, barber shop, alterations, Shoppette, Laundry/Dry cleaning, T-Shirt Shop, and a Burger King Express which all makes a GREAT one stop shopping experience.
