| Fort Benning, located South of Columbus,
Georgia on U.S. Highway 27 is known as the "HOME OF THE INFANTRY."
It is here that the famed U.S. Army Infantry School was established in
1918 and has evolved into the most influential Infantry Center in the modern world.
Throughout the years, the mission of Fort Benning and the Infantry School has remained "to
produce the world's finest combat Infantrymen."
The Fort Benning Post Exchange operates a wide variety of services including: 19 Retail, 2 Remote, 19 Food, 37 Concessions, 433 Vending Machines, 483 Pay Phones and the only commercial first run movie theater in AAFES. Each month a dividend is paid directly to the Fort Benning Installation Morale , Welfare and Recreation Fund. This is based on a percentage of the total sales plus concession income. The remainder of our dividends are paid directly to the Army's Central MWR Fund.
