The Fort Detrick Army and Air Force Exchange Service (AAFES) welcomes customers within Maryland, West Virginia and Pennsylvania and offers a multitude of services and products to each and every authorized patron - active duty, retirees, reserve components and their families. All Guardsmen, Reservists, and their families have full shopping privileges within all AAFES operations on the Post. We welcome you to our web site/home page and invite you, as an authorized patron, to view the information on site and encourage you to shop at our retail facilities and use the services and vending operations.

The AAFES facilities at Fort Detrick $4.48M new Mini Mall opened on 19 November 2004. Overall quality of life on the installation. At Fort Detrick we have a Retail Store, Military Clothing Sales Store, Service Station, Barber Shop, Laundry and Dry Cleaners, as well as two Coffee/Snack Operations, plus the Sprint Barracks Phone operation. AAFES operations generate revenue, through patrons' purchases, and dividends are provided annually for MWR Programs (FY2007 $101,543.96) these funds are available to the DPCA and Garrison Commander and are utilized to enhance the total quality of life on the installation. It pays to shop at your AAFES facilities, and this is clearly something the commercial operations outside the gate and off the Post do not do for the military and their families.

We are committed to making AAFES Your First Choice, in shopping by helping you and your family cope with the transition of moving to yet another installation or while traveling through the area. Our facilities provide you with practically everything needed or desired. From a retail perspective, if there are items you can't locate or we don't normally stock, we have customer convenience programs and shuttle programs available from our sister store, Fort Meade PXtra.
