| Dear Customer:
Welcome to the Lackland AFB Exchange web page. We invite you, as an authorized patron, to view the information on our site and encourage you to shop our facilities. Our stated mission is to “provide quality goods and services at competitively low prices, and generate earnings to support MWR programs.” Lackland AFB is located in western side of San Antonio off Highway 90. It is proudly hailed as the "Gateway to the Air Force" providing basic training to all Air Force enlisted personnel and joint services training for the Air Force, Army, Navy and Marines. It is the premier AETC installation hosting such diverse tenants as Wilford Hall Medical Center (http://www.whmc.af.mil), HQ Air Intelligence Agency (http://www.aia.af.mil), Security Forces Center, Defense Language Institute and the Inter-American Air Force making it the most culturally diverse multi-lingual training base in the US. Lackland offers flagship AAFES facilities including a mega BX Mall, large 24 hour Shoppette with Gas; mega Troop Mall, and the largest Military Clothing Sales Store in the Air Force, featuring catalog sales support. In addition to low prices on brand name merchandise AAFES has several significant programs that offer additional customer savings: Free Check Cashing World Wide where ever you are; Star Card offering low interest and now useable at military exchanges from all services; Best Price Guarantee offering to match any advertised item that may be lower anywhere in the community (see store for details) and guaranteed up to 30 days after the purchase. AAFES is a proud sponsor of Airman/NCO/SNCO of the Quarter and Year programs. We also provide support for Newcomers, Re-Enlistment, Retiree Open House, and other installation events. We are the largest family member employer and generate over $230 million annually to MWR programs, etc. AAFES flagship stores at bases nearby include Randolph AFB and Ft. Sam Houston. Basic facilities are available at Brooks AFB. We are also especially proud to serve one of the largest retiree communities in CONUS. Please let us know how we are doing. Each facility has a manager ready to work with you. In addition, each facility has customer comment cards, and the link below will email me directly. AAFES management also attends newcomers briefs, TownHalls, BX/Commissary Advisory Boards, and other forums where you are heard. Thank you,
